Product Spotlight: Alpine Navigation Systems

Alpine Navigation

Choosing a new radio or navigation system for your car is simple. Making it fit perfectly and work the way you want requires expertise and knowledge – the kind the staff at Carbon Car Systems have. One of our favorite navigation solutions for the Holden Commodore VE from 2006 to 2010 is from Alpine. They offer a 6.1- or 8-inch source unit that they bundle with a steering wheel-control interface and custom dash kit that ensures a perfect installation each and every time.

Fully Loaded

Alpine NavigationYou have your choice of the awesome X008A-U or X008DU 8-inch units, or the impressive IVE-W554ABT 6.1-inch Mobile Multimedia Stations. These units are equipped with high-resolution touchscreens, CD and DVD playback, and USB connections for compressed media or iPod and iPhone playback. Premium Bluetooth communication includes both hands-free and audio streaming capabilities. The X008D-U includes DAB+ and RDS for enhanced entertainment options. The massive 8” screens offer 43% more surface area – once you’ve seen them, you’ll be hooked. Prices range from $1,499 to $2,899.

Hooked Up

All three Holden-specific kits include Alpine’s Perfect FIT dash kit that integrates seamlessly with the vehicle. The kits include a second LCD screen for HVAC controls, an antenna adapter and a steering wheel-control interface. The steering wheel interface lets the factory volume, source and tracking controls on the steering wheel control the radio. No other parts are required to complete the installation.

More Than An Upgrade

Alpine NavigationWe have seen a lot of 2006 Commodores with factory radios that have stopped working or are in need of repair. Fixing factory radios is expensive, and you are throwing good money into something that is outdated. Many clients have chosen the Alpine as a cost-effective alternative to radio repair.

The VES1G2-X800D, VES1-X008AU and VES1G2-W554 Car FIT systems have been very popular with Series 1 Commodore owners for their extensive feature set, ease of use and seamless integration. If you have a Series 2 Commodore, just be patient. Alpine is working on a solution for those vehicles as well.
